Infrastructure
What We Do
From initial conception through to final adoption, we can provide services associated with most aspects of development infrastructure including:
- Undertaking and/or organising initial site surveys, investigations and studies
- Design appraisals
- Detailed design in line with the requirements of adopting bodies.
- Liaison with statutory and non-statutory bodies and third parties as necessary including for approvals from the Highway Authority, Water Utilities, Environment Agency and Drainage Bodies, etc..
Scope
Development Layouts - general arrangement of development, cut and fill balancing, setting out
Estate Roads - vertical and horizontal alignment, junction design, pavement design, drainage, associated structures (see Civil Engineering Structures Sheet). Section 38 Agreements
Foul Drainage - hydraulic and structural design of adoptable foul sewers and pumping stations, private drainage. Section 104 Agreements
Effluent Treatment - discharge consents, design of works incorporating package treatment plants, specifying package treatment plants, soakaway fields
Surface Water Drainage - sustainable urban drainage (SUDS), hydraulic and structural design of adoptable surface water sewers, soakaways, attenuation ponds and tanks, swales, stormwater pumping...
Flood Alleviation - design of fluvial and tidal flood Alleviation schemes (see Flood Risk and Flood Alleviation Sheet)
Utilities - arrangements of all services and utilities, liaison with utilities regarding design and installation requirements
Landscape - specification and detailing of hard surfaces including footpaths and other paved areas, steps, retaining and boundary structures
